Om Yoga Show London October 2023

Hello Yogis!

Loads of notice for this… The Om Yoga Show London is on in October, 13th, 14th & 15th. Yes, I know it’s ages and ages and ages away. I haven’t been since 2019 so I’m absolutely starved of the show.

Kino MacGregor will be teaching there, so will my favourite David Sye - everyone needs a dose of David Sye! Body positive Donna Noble will be there. I’ll definitely be doing Teaching Chair Yoga with Maria Jones. I’m quite interested to do Authentic Indian Yoga, Pranayama & Mantra with Ravi Dixit.

Anyway, if you have a year planner, pencil it in. Let’s meet up for a healthy smoothie!

Yoga In The News

EL PAÍS in English has:  Breathing under gunfire: The yoga revolution in Rio de Janeiro’s favelas. ‘After class, surrounded by her chatty students, Cardoso explains: “The day after a [police] operation, the students are super stressed. We have to improvise frequently, work more on the breathing... It’s not magic, but it helps a lot. The violence is horrible, dramatic, but since there are things we can’t change, at least we can try to change the way we deal with those problems.”’

Wall Street Journal has:  Six Yoga Poses to Help Your Golf Swing. ‘Making golf-specific movements without actually trying to strike a ball is a great way to tune in to the sensations you want to have in your swing.’

Radio 4 had: The New Gurus 8. Prophets of Doom. Interesting listen! More than half-way through the programme metions Steve Jobs' favourite guru, Yogananda. Yes, Russell Brand comes up! It's not a complimentary programme about gurus! Personal flaws are no drawback to guru status!
